Bandung, 5 September 2025 — Indonesia continues to face a workforce gap, with graduate unemployment remaining high, while Japan struggles with a shrinking labor force and an increasing reliance on foreign workers.

To address this challenge, HGS is developing structured talent sourcing programs that connect Indonesian candidates with employment opportunities in Japan.
HGS has formalized collaborations with local training centers (LPK), and universities across Indonesia to provide end-to-end talent development solutions. These include candidate selection, interview preparation, Japanese language certification, skill development, cultural orientation, and coordination with Japanese companies through to departure. By integrating these efforts, HGS ensures Indonesian trainees are equipped with globally competitive skills that meet both domestic and international industry demands.
Current programs include the TITP (Technical Intern Training Program), which provides Indonesian trainees with N5 and N4 Japanese language certification, along with practical skills and cultural orientation tailored to job orders from Japanese companies, and the TG/SSW (Tokutei Ginou/Specified Skilled Worker Program), designed for skilled workers to enter Japan’s workforce in targeted industries.
In addition, HGS is developing an Engineer Specialist Program to equip university and diploma engineering graduates with N3 Japanese language certification, enabling them to pursue professional careers in Japan. These initiatives highlight HGS’s role in building international partnerships and developing skilled talent to address employment challenges in both countries.
As part of its long-term strategy, HGS will also continue supporting Indonesian training centers by enhancing their marketing and management capabilities, while working closely with educational institutions nationwide to supply high-quality human resources that meet global industry standards and strengthen national workforce development.
